Robert Bakewell’s Curriculum
At Robert Bakewell, we use a 2 year rolling curriculum to ensure our split year groups are exposed to new declarative knowledge throughout their learning. Our curriculum is designed to have 6 Global themes that we hinge our learning around. The 6 Global themes are:
Culture, community and development - this allows our children to develop identity and association.
Conflict and resolution - this allows our children to develop relationships and mediation.
Awe and wonder - this allows our children to develop intrigue and curiosity.
Integrity, honesty and difference - this allows our children to develop appreciation.
Analyse and evaluate - this allows our children to develop exploration, trust and safety.
Changing - this allows our children to develop their understanding of transition.
