Ash

Welcome to the Ash class page

Welcome back to the first part of the Summer term. We hope you have had a fun and restful break and are ready for our new topic.

Our learning question for this half term is, “What animal would you like to be?”

Through this question we will be focusing on what characteristics help us identify if an animal is a bird, fish, reptile, amphibian or a mammal. We will also learn about different types of habitats and diets (carnivore, herbivore and omnivore) In Art, our focus will be on the artist Steven Brown. We will look at how he uses colour to create his paintings and use his style and techniques to create our own animal art. In RE we are going to learn about the importance of Easter to many Christians and how it was celebrated.

At Robert Bakewell we firmly believe that reading is the key that opens doors for our children. Please ensure that you hear your child read daily and record this in their diary so that they can earn points towards our fabulous reading prizes.

Please keep an eye on our webpage as we will upload photographs on a regular basis, to showcase the wonderful learning that is going on in our indoor and outdoor classrooms.

We will have 2 P.E sessions each week. Please ensure your child has a full named P.E kit in school, further details can be seen in the newsletter.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to either speak to a member of our team or get in touch via our class email; ash@robertbakewellprimary.com
