Bringing characters to life in drama

In English, we have been reading Cosmic by Frank Cottrell-Boyce and exploring the feelings and motives of its mischievous, central character, Liam, his anxious mum and frustrated dad! The children loved recreating scenes from the novel in our drama lesson this week. They created freeze frames and then explained how their character might have been feeling though an activity called ‘thought-tapping’. We finished the lesson with a conscience alley where the child playing Liam had to decide whether or not to impersonate his Dad and take his friend on a secret trip to China! Great acting, Lime Class!
