Investigating Soil

In Science, we have been learning all about rocks. Today we moved on to investigating what the components of soil are. We gathered a sample of soil and together as groups, looked at what kinds of things make up soil using our eyes and magnifying glasses. Elm class had a fantastic lesson learning all the different components that make up soil. The children worked brilliantly in pairs and in the table groups, asking each other lots of questions and sharing all the different things that they found in their own samples.
