Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
The children are enjoying the story of Goldilocks this week and are becoming more confident at retelling the story. We hope they have shared this story with you. The children have performed a little rhyme of the story to share with you.
The children have learnt all about careful counting and have helped Goldilocks count how many bears were in the forest. The children know to touch the object as they count.
The children are becoming more independent in their learning and exploring activities set out. Here are some of this weeks fun learning opportunities.
The children have been demonstrating their perseverance muscles during phonics this week as they try hard with formation. We have seen so much progress already and are super proud of them all. Well done Reception children.

The children have shown great perseverance muscles this week as they begin learning to write sounds we are looking at. They have also enjoyed dancing and saying sounds as we 'Boom shake the alphabet'. Please use this link and have fun with your child singing and dancing to this catchy way of learning sounds.
Friday mornings means it's time for our whole school virtual celebration assembly. The children are keen to clap for children receiving a certificate and wait eagerly for Mr Bishop to come into our classroom to reveal who our 'Star of the Week' is.
The children have stayed for lunch this week and many are enjoying the delicious food cooked by our wonderful onsite catering team. Yummy, yummy in our tummy!

The children are keen to explore their new environment and are enjoying making new friends. They are becoming more confident at self selecting their activities as well as joining adults to complete various tasks.
The children are very good at washing their hands throughout the day as they know that clean hands are happy hands!
Welcome to your child's first year at Robert Bakewell.
