We have been acting out our traditional tales in English to help us to learn them. We have freeze framed poignant scenes from a traditional tale to help us think about how the characters are feeling. This has all been in preparation for writing our own traditional tales. If you have any at home or find any at the library to read, this would really help awaken the children's imaginations further.
