Our topic this half term is ...
Rocks, Stones and Bones
Year 4 2017
We have made a fantastic start to the year and have begun learning about the Romans. So far we have made wax writing tablets, Roman bread and even had a go at making our own ricotta herb cheese!
(Photos will be added asap)
To see what else we'll be doing in our Creative Curriculum lessons have a look at the plan below.
October half term homework
Over the holidays, we hope you all have fun but we still expect everyone to be reading each day for 10 minutes and I have also attached links below to different websites for you to practise your maths and English skills over the break. Enjoy!
Times tables and number bond practice
Magic Squares game

Robert Bakewell's Extreme Reading Challenge
This half term we will be holding an extreme reading challenge. There are prizes to be won!
It is really easy to enter, just think of the most extreme place to read (get your family to help), take a photo and hand it in to your teacher. Simple!
Here a few ideas to get you thinking...
sitting in the dentist's chair
out in a restaurant
climbing a tree
sitting in a sink
A reminder that our PE days are Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Please make sure that PE kits are in school on these days.
We will continue to do PE outside as long as the weather allows.
You may bring a jumper and jogging bottoms to wear as the weather turns cooler.
