Pen Pal Letters
As part of our topic, we have been writing letters to our pen pals at Hanover Court. This week we got replies and the children were very excited to hear all about their pen pals' childhood. I hope you enjoy reading them too.
This afternoon, we visited Hanover Court and met our pen pals. It was lovely to put faces to the names in our letters.
The children could look at pictures of their pen pals as young children and hear their stories.
We have had great fun learning how to use Pivot Stick Figure animation. Today we tried to make flip books to moving pictures and then we created some stop start movie animations on the ipad.
Here are some videos of our flip book that the children were proud of.

Was it a walking trip or swim?
As part of our topic 'There's No Place Like Home', we went on our visit to Bradgate Park. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't very favourable but still we had a great time.
The wonderful, informative guides told us so much about what life must have been like for Lady Jane Grey (The Nine Day Queen) when she lived there as a small child. We even found out how the village came to be called Newtown Linford. Please do ask your child to share everything they learned on our trip.
In response to your requests at Parents' Evening, here are the methods we use for the four maths calculations. If you need any other help please come and ask.
