Myself and Mrs Duncan think that the year 3s have been fabulous this half term so, we decided to have a special Science day. We did a big experiment looking at the different properties of rocks and then went on a glorious rock hunt around the playground!
Today we did some Stone age cave art drawings outside using chalk!
Today we have been sharing stories with the year 1s! We are very impressed with how well the year 1s can read!
Happy New Year! Please see out topic webb and newsletter.
We were incredibly lucky yesterday to get the chance to go to Loughborough College to meet some real Para-Olympians! We got to take part in different sport activities such as, judo, running and volleyball! Thank you Mrs Gower for arranging such a memorable afternoon!
Our poppies are dry hooray! Which meany that this afternoon we were able to use black plastic bin bags to make the middle of the poppies. We think they look rather great!
We had a lovely afternoon making poppies! We made them by wrapping fabric around doughnut shaped card board. Then we painted them red and when they were dry we used black plastic bags for the middle.
We had lots of fun today taking part in a special problem solving lesson! We had to work in teams and use our communication skills to solve the problems. The problems we had to solve involved using shapes to make other shapes. It really got our brains thinking!
In English we spent a lesson exploring how we could use different drama techniques to take the role of a character and think about their feelings. We explored the feelings of the characters from our class novel Romans on the Rampage.
Magic Maths! Here are just a few of the children in class 3J using their knowledge of place value to write different amounts of money in pounds and pence.
We had the best surprise this morning when we were introduced to a real life Roman! Legionnaire Baberus let us join his Roman army and we learnt lots of different battle formations with our shields! We now know so many facts about the Romans...just ask us!
